Editable Student Planner Agendas

In my school, we didn't have agendas or planners to distribute to students. That's fine, but I was finding that there was a LOT of miscommunication between me, parents, and students, even with a school-home communication tool like Class Dojo.

How will students remember all of their login codes?

How will they be able to keep track of all the spirit days, field trips, special celebrations, and fundraisers?

Oh, and how will they remember all of there short-term and long-term assignments?

My solution was to create this paper agenda that could fit into their "going home" folders. And it worked like a dream!

Each semester, I had a parent volunteer help me to insert a semester's worth of pages into each students' folders. We filled out the login sheet together, so that they could work on homework or math practice at home without any problems.

For the first semester of fourth grade, I assign 80 minutes of reading each week and 40 minutes of "math minutes"-- that's 10 minutes of math fact practice every evening until Friday. Students recorded it in their folders and returned it each Friday with a parent signature.

The next semester, I don't require math minutes but I do continue to require reading minutes. At that point, I assign a math page and students record that it's due Friday in the "assignments" section.

I decided to make this agenda available to you as a COMPLETELY EDITABLE folder on Google Slides! You can change absolutely anything on these files or change nothing at all. I also created 4 different versions, so that you can pick the one that best meets your needs. Even better, there are pages to get you through the entire 2019-20 school year... and I'll update it next summer with the new dates!
